Kandace James is a student currently working at Kennesaw State University. Working with both acrylic and ink, she paints with vibrant colors, contrasting with her often somber depictions of bodies. Her contemporary figurative artwork is a commentary on social and racial issues. She desires to reimagine and redefine how blackness is currently depicted through her art.
