Cherry Cola LXV

Glen armstrong

This world doesn’t end; it just goes
more and more out of
focus

until it’s a fog and, then,
another world.
Animals

that once sat still for odd treats
dart back and forth
attempting

to shake this world from their fur.
This world takes
us

for unfinished.

We are fingernails, salamanders, fish,
inaudible whispers, eggs, and
less.
