Woman Overheard
Abigail Fox Green
This, I hear her say, her arm sweeping across
her body, indicating space, an opening, this abundance—
(I didn’t know exactly what she offered.)
The only thought: impossible tenderness,
the air soft, heavy—
This, she says again, insistent, tongue between her teeth and lips, so what if the sky turns its back to you—
